Mega Lotto
We have had another successful year with our Mega Lotto sales! The total amount of sales was up and as soon as the funds are received from Rotary, they will be divided to the Regions by percentage of tickets sold (approx. 74% North and 26% South). We sold in the neighborhood of $20,000 worth of tickets, we get approximately 45% of those sales. So please everyone should pat themselves on the back for getting out and selling the tickets, and we were 100% successful in having all of our sold and unsold tickets returned.
Let’s give a BIG SHOUT OUT to Alana Copeland, Angela Kosick and Leona Smith for taking the lead on this fundraiser and making it so successful!!!
PROVINCIAL CHAMPIONSHIP AND SEASON LEADER AWARDS
In 2019, HSR of BC presented 100 buckles to our contestants (including buckles ordered for events which presented a tie). There is a buckle given for Season Leader in each division, for each event both Junior and High School. There are Season Leader All Around Buckles and Rookie Buckles for each Region also. Provincial Championship buckles in each event, All Around Buckles and Rookie Buckles are also given at the Provincial level, followed by awards to 3rd or 4th place. We also gave out a $250 scholarship to each Provincial Champion in the High School Division. There were 4 All Around Saddles presented – High School boy and girl, Junior boy and girl. Each competitor qualified for Provincial Finals also receives a team shirt. The dollar figure for these awards is in the neighborhood of $60,000 give or take, which works out to an average of $460 per competing member.
We do hope that this will help clarify how the Family Sponsorship funds and the money raised for awards are spent.

Become a member of these pages and stay informed.
